Stephen King's '11/22/63' reappears on HC fiction best-sellers list

It’s Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly review of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Seller List. According to the list, there are three new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Lover Reborn" by J.R. Ward replaced "Stay Close" by Harlan Coben as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Drift" by Rachel Maddow replaced "Imagine" by Jonah Lehrer as the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.

"What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?" by Jonnie Penn and Dave Lingwood replaced "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrne as the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

"The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks retained its place as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the second straight week.

There are six books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They (along with their place on the list) include "Lover Reborn" by J.R. Ward (1), "Guilty Wives" by James Patterson (2), "Betrayal: A Novel" by Danielle Steel (3), "Elegy for Eddie" by Jacqueline Winspear (6), "The Expats" by Chris Pavone (14) and "11/22/63" by Steven King (15).

There are five books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Drift" by Rachel Maddow (1), "Weeknights with Giada" by Giada De Laurentiis (2), "The Big Miss" by Hank Haney (3), "Let It Go" by T.D. Jakes (13) and "Soldier Dogs" by Maria Goodavage (15).

There are seven books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They include "The Affair" by Lee Child (2), "Dead Reckoning" by Charlaine Harris (3), "A Turn in the Road" by Debbie Macomber (6), "The Postcard Killers" by James Patterson and Lisa Marklund (7), "A Perfect Storm" by Lori Foster (8), "The Devil Colony" by James Rollins (13) and "Wanted: Undead or Alive" by Kerrelyn Sparks (14).

There are four books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "What Do You Want to Do Before You Die?" by Jonnie Penn, Dave Lingwood (1), "Loving" by Karen Kingsbury (3), "Zero Day" by David Baldacci (6) and "The Girl Who Played with Fire" by Stieg Larsson (14).

As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Sunday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
