Anderson's 'Lawrence in Arabia' debuts on best-sellers list this week

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Mistress" by James Patterson and David Ellis replaced "The Cuckoo's Calling" by Robert Galbraith, a.k.a. J.K. Rowling, as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Burn" by Maya Banks replaced "The Casual Vacancy" by J.K. Rowling as the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

"Zealot" by Reza Aslan remained the No. 1 book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the second straight week.

"The Inn at Rose Harbor" by Debbie Macomber remained the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

There were five books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included "Mistress" by James Patterson/David Ellis (1), "Hotshot" by Julie Garwood (4), "The Last Witness" by W.E.B. Griffin (7), "The Companions" by R.A. Salvatore (11) and "William Shakespeare's Star Wars" by Ian Doescher (15).

There were four books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Lawrence in Arabia" by Scott Anderson (8), "These Few Precious Days" by Christopher Andersen (10), "Collision 2012" by Dan Balz (11) and "The Sports Gene" by David Epstein (12).

They included "University of Chicago Spanish-English Dictionary" by David Pharies (8), "I, Michael Bennett" by James Patterson, Michael Ledwidge (9), "Castaway Cove" Joann Ross (11) and "Defiance of Eagles" by William W. Johnstone (14).
