'Batman, Vol. 3' takes No. 1 spot on graphic novels best-sellers list this week

'Batman, Vol. 3'
Today is Tuesday, so that means it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s New York Times lists of best-selling graphic novels. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the two major graphic novel lists this week.

“Batman, Vol. 3” by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo replaced “Batgirl, Vol. 3” by Gail Simone and as the No. 1 book on the Hardcover Graphic Books best-sellers list this week.

“Avatar: The Last Airbender, Part 2” by Gene Luen Yang and others replaced “The Walking Dead Compendium, Vol. 1” by Robert Kirkman and others as the top book on the Paperback Graphic Books best-sellers list.

There were four books on this week’s Hardcover Graphic Books best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They (and their places on the list) included “Batman, Vol. 3” by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo (1), “Hellboy: The Midnight Circus” by Mike Mignola and Duncan Fegredo (3), “The Walking Dead, Book 1” by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard (6) and “The Walking Dead, Book 2” by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard (10).

There were four books on this week’s Paperback Graphic Books best-sellers list that wasn’t on that list last week. They included “Avatar: The Last Airbender, Part 2” by Gene Luen Yang and others (1), “The Hedge Knight” by George R.R. Martin, Ben Avery and Mike S. Miller (2), “Bedlam” by Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott (6) and “Boxers and Saints” Boxed Set by Gene Luen Yang (10).
