Witnesses report four UFO sightings in Alabama during month of November 2017

It’s the second Thursday of the month, so this week I’m giving you an update on UFO reports in Alabama from the previous month, courtesy of the Mutual UFO Network. A search for UFO reports in Alabama between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30 on MUFON’s website, www.mufon.com, resulted in four reports from within our state during that time.

The first incident occurred on Fri., Nov. 17, around 11:30 p.m. in Dothan, not far from the Southeast Alabama Medical Center and Fort Rucker. The witness in this case was smoking a cigarette on his front porch when he saw a “blue-white streak” off to the right. Seeing no apparent cause for this unusual streak of light, the witness scanned the sky above the tree line when he noticed a star-like light above a star that normally appears above the trees at that time of night. About two minutes later, this light moved in an almost straight line in a north-northeastern direction, then appeared to “turn on a dime and streaked away toward the southeast.” Throughout all this, the witness didn’t hear any sounds coming from the object, like the sound of engines or motors.

The second incident occurred on Thurs., Nov. 23, around 4:30 a.m. in Gallant, a small community that sits on the border between Etowah and St. Clair counties. The witness in this case described a very unusual event that began around 4 a.m. when he awoke in bed to find himself unable to move. Seconds later, he noticed above his head a curved, floating screen that he could see through. Small images and symbols would blink on the screen every half-second or so, the witness said.

The witness looked beyond the screen and saw two dark figures standing in opposite corner of the room at the foot of the bed. They were about four feet tall and were “covered in a shroud of shifting darkness or shadow.” The witness said he became further upset when he noticed that his dog was still asleep on the bed and hadn’t reacted to the intruders.

The witness yelled at the intruders and they disappeared a few second later. Immediately, the witness could move again, and he jumped out of bed to turn the lights on. He found no trace of the entities, and it took him several minutes to calm down afterwards.

The third incident occurred on Fri., Nov. 24, around 10 p.m. in Montgomery. The witness in this case was outside smoking when he looked up and noticed a “brighter star moving very unusually back and forth then going straight before changing direction. He started looking around in the sky and spotted 20 to 25 of these strange objects. He continued to watch and noticed that each bright light appeared to be accompanied by a smaller dimmer light and each pair moved together, repeatedly getting closer to each other then moving apart. Some of the larger, brighter lights appeared to pulsate and move in a very tight figure-eight formation. The witness said that his wife called the local TV news station, WSFA, and they said they would have their meteorologist go outside to take a look.

The fourth and final incident occurred on Mon., Nov. 27, around 5:15 p.m. at Fort Morgan in Baldwin County. The witness in this case said that he and his wife were sitting on the balcony of their condo overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay at sunset. After the sun dipped below the horizon, they saw what appeared to be three glowing, reflective orange-yellow objects above the horizon in the southwestern sky.

These lights appeared to fly south slowly in a line before they gradually descended below the horizon. They watched the objects through binoculars, and they each had what appeared to be a brighter, glowing light of the same orange-yellow color that moved repeatedly from front to rear. They noted that these objects emitted no sound.

Before closing out this week, I just want to put it out there again that I would be very interested to hear from anyone who have witnessed a UFO, especially in Conecuh County.
