He would like to invite all the Aggie fans to come out and support the Aggies Thursday night in Brewton and also Friday night at home against the Atmore Blue Devils.
The Aggies last two wins were most impressive as they downed the T.R. Miller Tigers, 97-43, and also beat the W.S. Neal Eagles, 75-48. Chuck Jones and Ronald Fantroy combined to score 51 of the Aggies 75 points.

Hi-Lites of E.H.S.: The year of 1949-50 has seen a remarkable improvement in the Physical Education Program of E.H.S. Take for instance the six-man football teams. These teams did not play inter-school competition, but they showed real spirit in playing one another. All the physical education classes were divided into 20 teams with each team having its own captain. At the end of the season, the teams with the highest records played an inter-class tournament. The “Wildcats,” captained by Gehue Ross emerged the victor and for their excellent record each member of the squad will receive a miniature gold football with “Intramural Champions of 1949” inscribed thereon.
Now that the football season is over, marching drills have been started and everyone is learning how to march in formation. Each platoon has its own drill leader, and on Jan. 13 the leaders will drill their teams in marching formations. Capt. John C. Holman, who was in the United States Army for 10 years and is an expert on marching, has been asked by Coach John Lockwood, Physical Education Director, to select the best drilled marching platoon.
Folk dancing, volleyball, soccer and intramural track are future projects of the physical education schedule. At the end of school, tournaments, parades and other athletic events will be enjoyed by everyone. Coach Lockwood has done a splendid job in this program and the participants have shown great interest and cooperation.
SPORTS: The Aggies snapped their losing jinx last Friday by downing Greenville High to the tune of 40-25. John Greel Ralls played his first game of the season and was high-point man.
The Juniors won their second straight game by downing the Baby Tigers of Greenville, 14-13. It was a close contest all the way, but Coach Lockwood’s boys showed their training by keeping a cool head under pressure. John Henry Brantley was top man in the points scored department.
The “B” team, led by William Stewart and Clayton Cobb, made it a perfect night with a score of 25 over 23.
There have been several inquiries concerning the new two-minute ruling in basketball. If a player commits a foul in the last two minutes of play, the opposing team automatically takes the foul shots and also has possession of the ball at the center of the court. This ruling allows a team to freeze the ball more easily heretofore.
Friday night, the Aggies play Georgiana in Memorial Gym.

Unbeaten Miller Slips By Evergreen Aggies 42-38: The T.R. Miller Tigers continued undefeated in basketball at the expense of the Evergreen Aggies Tuesday night with a close 42 to 38 win. The game was played on the “half court” in the old school auditorium in Brewton. Brewton is to get a new gym within a few months.
The Aggies took an early 7-0 lead and were ahead at the quarter, 11-10, but Miller went out in front in the second quarter to stay. The Tigers led, 21-16, at the half and 31-27 at the end of the third quarter.
It’s true that the Aggies were cramped on the small court, but they actually lost the game under the boards. The Millers got more rebounds and made more follow shots good. Evergreen’s cause wasn’t helped any when John Greel Ralls accumulated four fouls early in the second quarter and sat out the rest of that period, all of the third and most of the fourth. He returned late in the fourth, but was dispatched to the bench quickly with his fifth offense.
A pair of lanky forwards did most of the work for Miller. Jerry Wood and Junior Allen dunked 11 points each to pace the scorers. Guerry Moorer led the Aggies with 10 points. Ralls and Jack Cunningham dropped seven; Gillis Morgan, six; Jeff Moorer, five; Bobby Frank Snowden, two; and Gwyn Daniels, one, for the Aggies.

The Evergreen Bees brought their season average up to the .500 mark with a 41-29 win over Miller inn a preliminary bout. Cleveland Robinson with 10 and William Stewart with nine points paced the Aggie attack. Billy Long dropped 12 for Miller. Evergreen led all the way.
